MSI just announced a new addition to its curved gaming monitor lineup, the MAG Optix G27C4 27-in curved gaming monitor. Instead of the more commonly seen 1800R curvature panel, MSI went a little bit further with their new Optix G27C4, sporting a Samsung VA panel with 1500R curvature, 1920×1080 resolution and a wide 178°/178° viewing-angles.

Apart from the eye-care features (anti-flicker and blue-light reduction) available on most of the gaming monitors nowadays, the Optix G27C4 also features 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time for better gaming visual, as well as the support for AMD FreeSync to eliminate screen tearing. It is still unknown whether the Optix G27C4 is G-Sync compatible, but it will be listed in the NVIDIA official G-Sync compatible FreeSync monitor list soon enough if it meets the minimum requirement – as certified by NVIDIA.

While the Optix G27C4 lacks the height adjustments and USB passthrough that most of you would prefer to have, it will still come with the DisplayPort 1.2a needed for FreeSync and 165Hz refresh rate, and Two HDMI 1.4a ports that can support 144Hz refresh rate at 1080p.
