MINIX has announced the N304-AI mini PC to bring local AI computing to a wider audience.
The machine is powered by the Intel Core 3 Processor 304 based on the Wildcat Lake architecture to deliver up to 24 TOPS of AI performance (NPU + GPU), enabling users to run a growing range of AI-powered applications directly on the device without relying heavily on cloud services.
Despite its compact design, the N304-AI comes equipped with modern connectivity and computing features. It includes 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 512GB NVMe SSD, support for up to three displays, 2x Gigabit Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Windows 11 Pro.
All of these are paired together to provide users the ability to use AI-assisted productivity tools, intelligent collaboration features, content generation applications, and language-based AI experiences without needing expensive hardware. Running these workloads locally can also provide faster response times, stronger privacy protections, reduced reliance on cloud infrastructure, and lower long-term operating costs.
MINIX says the N304-AI is suitable for a wide range of deployment scenarios, including home offices, educational environments, retail installations, digital signage, edge computing applications, and everyday business workloads.
