Looks like Kingston is celebrating a pretty major milestone for one of its most mainstream storage products, because they announced a whopping 100M+ units shipped for its A400 SATA SSD.

Since the launch of 2017, the A400 has served many people as their entry into the SSD tech for older laptops and desktops because it offered a noticeable jump in everyday responsiveness over traditional hard drives, thanks to the read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s respectively, which translated into noticeably faster boot times, quicker application loading, and smoother file transfers.

The milestone also reflects how storage demands have continued evolving over the years, while adding that the company is now continuing to push further into newer storage segments beyond SATA SSDs. That includes high-performance NVMe SSDs, enterprise-focused data center storage solutions, as well as industrial SSD offerings designed for edge computing and mission-critical deployments.
