ILLEGEAR has always been a homegrown brand that allows customers to customize what hardware you want in your ILLEGEAR laptop. Now, the company just announced the brand new LAGUNA SE that brings high-performance with a striking design.
This new LAGUNA SE is claimed to be re-designed inside out, and earning the name “beautiful beast” because of its performance and beauty.
In terms of specs, the LAGUNA SE is packed with a 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-P with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and also up to 32GB DDR4 RAM. To cool these components, ILLEGEAR has included a total of 4 heatpipes, 4 vents, and 2 cooling fans. Now that’s intense.
15.6-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with 100% sRGB color gamut, comes in 144Hz refresh rate too. Another thing to note here is that the LAGUNA SE also comes with ILLEGEAR’s INFIVISION bezel-less screen technology. In short, the laptop feels small and compact, even though it has a 15.6-inch screen.
And honestly, I’m also surprised. The ILLEGEAR LAGUNA SE weighs in at only 1.9kg with battery, and has a physical dimension of 361x246x21mm (WxDxH). With such a compact body, ILLEGEAR somehow managed to have 2x M.2 slots + 1 HDD slot inside the laptop itself. And you can setup a RAID configuration on those M.2 SSDs too. Now that’s truly impressive.
The guts of the ILLEGEAR LAGUNA SE is encased in a double-layer anodized aluminium body, which gives it that chilly metal feel. Also, this aluminium body does help in heat dissipation too – so don’t be alarmed if the body feels a little warm.
