GIGABYTE has unveiled new DIY PC components for AI computing, including the TRX50 AI TOP motherboard and the AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD.

GIGABYTE TRX50 AI TOP

The TRX50 AI TOP motherboard is engineered for exceptional AI computing and is ideal for handling up to 236 billion parameter large language models (LLM) due to its optimal performance compatibility with other hardware components.

It features four PCIe 5.0 x16 slots that can accommodate dual-slot GPUs without bandwidth limitations, along with four PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots for rapid data transfer and storage. The octa-channel ECC R DIMM slots support up to 2TB of reliable system memory, and the dual 10GbE ports plus WiFi 7 offer top-tier connectivity for consumers and professionals alike.

Additional features include the EZ-Debug Zone with LEDs and control buttons for simple troubleshooting, the WIFI EZ-Plug design for consolidated antenna connection, EZ-Latch mechanisms, and UC BIOS for efficient system building.

AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD

The AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD, powered by the Phison PS5026-E26 12nm process controller and optimized 232-layer 3D-TLC NAND Flash, achieves read and write speeds of 14,500 MBps and 12,700 MBps, respectively. Enhanced by a DDR4 DRAM cache, it maximizes performance under the PCIe 5.0 protocol.

The SSD also supports DirectStorage for faster game loading, along with AES-256 encryption, TRIM, SMART, and ECC technology for comprehensive SSD monitoring via GIGABYTE’s GCC application. GIGABYTE recommends using M.2 heatsinks available with high-end motherboards like the X670E AORUS PRO X and Z790 AORUS MASTER X.
