DeepCool has long been recognized for its CPU coolers, offering exceptional price-to-performance ratios. Among its lineup, the AK620 stands out as a highly regarded cooler, delivering performance that rivals some of the market’s best options at a significantly lower price.
Today, we’ll be reviewing the latest iteration: the AK620 Digital Pro. This version introduces notable upgrades, including a multi-data point display, visual color temperature warnings, and the innovative CTT 2.0 heatpipe technology. To evaluate its performance, we compared it against some of the top CPU coolers on the market. Here’s our in-depth review.

At first glance, the AK620 Digital Pro closely resembles its predecessor, the AK620 Digital, maintaining a clean, all-black, minimalist design that appeals to builders who prioritize a sleek aesthetic. Personally, this design checks all the boxes for what I look for in a CPU cooler.

A closer inspection reveals a significant upgrade: the top cover display now features an array of pins added by DeepCool to gather more sensor data. This enhancement allows the cooler to display not only the CPU temperature but also additional metrics like CPU usage, power draw, and frequency—an impressive addition that sets it apart in its price range.
DeepCool continues to stand out as one of the few brands offering simple, user-friendly mounting kits. Installing the AK620 Digital Pro is a breeze, taking less than two minutes. However, memory clearance can be a challenge, particularly on smaller motherboards such as mATX or ITX, when the cooler is mounted in the standard orientation.

*Testing was conducted in an environment with an ambient temperature of 28°C.
Our tests were conducted using the Intel Core i9-13900K, a CPU known for running hot and quickly reaching TJmax within a minute under stress, causing thermal throttling. To address this, we adjusted the PL1 and PL2 power limits to 120W and 170W, respectively. While this resulted in a slight performance drop of 3-5%, it allowed us to evaluate the cooler without excessive thermal throttling.
Even with these adjustments, the i9-13900K remained hot under load, demonstrating that high-end air coolers, including the AK620 Digital Pro, may struggle with such power-hungry CPUs unless settings are tweaked. For users planning to pair this CPU with an air cooler, reducing power limits is highly recommended.
In our temperature comparison, the AK620 Digital Pro performed exceptionally well, competing closely with premium options like the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 and Noctua NH-D15. Despite the demanding workload, the fan noise remained acceptable during stress tests and quickly became nearly inaudible afterward.
Final Thoughts
The DeepCool AK620 Digital Pro is an outstanding dual-tower CPU cooler that delivers excellent performance at a competitive price of RM379. It’s a compelling choice for users seeking a high-performance cooler without breaking the bank.
However, it’s not without its drawbacks. Memory clearance is a notable concern, particularly with tall memory kits featuring large heat spreaders or RGB light bars. Users may need to opt for low-profile memory modules or reposition the fan to accommodate their setups.
Overall, the AK620 Digital Pro continues DeepCool’s legacy of blending innovation, performance, and affordability, making it a solid recommendation for most systems—provided you account for its size limitations.
