BIOSTAR has rolled out the EdgeComp MS-NANX 8G/16G, a rugged, fanless edge AI system that’s powered by NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin NX platform with Super Mode support.
This compact box is capable of hitting up to 157 TOPS of AI performance, making it a fit for real-time workloads in everything from smart retail and industrial automation to transportation, city infrastructure, and even agriculture. Offered in either Jetson Orin NX 16GB or 8GB module, it is packing a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores and up to an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, plus LPDDR5 memory pushing 102.4 GB/s.
Expansion is no problem either, with M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs, wireless modules, or even 4G/5G connectivity, while connectivity are provided in the form dual Ethernet (1GbE and 2.5GbE with optional PoE), USB 3.2, HDMI 2.1, serial ports with CAN and combo support, and audio jacks, all designed for integration into demanding industrial or public-sector setups.
Because it’s fanless and compact, it can squeeze into tough environments where cooling and space are a challenge, while still running modern generative AI models like LLMs, SLMs, VLMs, or even DeepSeek R1, thanks to it be ing certified to perform reliably from -20 to 50°C, accepts flexible DC power inputs, and comes fully compatible with Linux and NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 so developers can easily get models up and running. There’s even optional support for dual GMSL cameras, which opens doors for vision-heavy deployments.
In short, the EdgeComp MS-NANX series of products provides a rugged, versatile, and powerful box to handle the next generation of real-world AI applications.
