ASUS Republic of Gamers hosted the “For Those Who Dare” press event at Computex 2018. Other than the ROG Phone and venturing into new product categories, ROG also announced the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000, ROG Strix SCAR II & ROG Strix HERO II gaming laptops and other gaming peripherals.

ROG Rapture GT-AX11000

ROG Rapture GT-AX11000

ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 is the world’s first 10 Gigabit Wi-Fi router. With the latest 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard, GT-AX11000 has 2.53X higher data rates than any 802.11ac 4×4 router, ensuring faster connections.

ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 provides triple-level game acceleration to boost game traffic every step of the way — from device to game server. Gaming Port is the first step in the acceleration process, prioritizing devices connected to it, and it has been improved in this generation of the ROG router. Featuring a 2.5G-Tbase port, it provides 2.5X faster transmit speeds while prioritizing connected devices, so it’s a perfect match with any 5G-LAN MB.

For the second step, by turning on the GameBoost, all gaming packets within the network are prioritized. A physical button built into the router means you don’t need to open your web GUI or router app: you can turn GameBoost on and off by pressing the button. The button also activates the DFS band (Dynamic Frequency Selection) for the least obstruction.

ROG Balteus Qi Gaming Mouse Pad

ROG Balteus Qi

The ROG Balteus Qi is, obviously, an RGB gaming mouse pad. As the name suggests, it corporates a Qi wireless charging technology under its micro-textured hard surface. Compatible mobile devices can be charged with ease.

Measuring at 370 x 320 mm, the mouse pad should offer ample space for comfortable game-play. With 15 individually customisable RGB lighting zones powered by ASUS Aura Sync, it syncs with the rest of the ROG Aura ecosystem.

The ASUS ROG Balteus Qi will be available worldwide starting Q2 2018.

ROG Gladius II Wireless

ROG Gladius II Wireless

The ROG Gladius II is an excellent mouse. In fact, as I’m typing this article, I am having the standard wired Gladius II mouse right beside my laptop. The announcement of the cordless option via 2.4GHz or Bluetooth sounds very interesting for me.

The Gladius II Wireless offers right-handed ergonomics for ultimate comfort. Rubber side panels ensure enhanced grip and control. The mouse also has ROG-exclusive switch socket design that enables easy switch replacements to customize click force.

The ASUS ROG Gladius II Wireless will be available worldwide starting Q2 2018.
