Since it’s based on the intel z690 chipset, the Z690A-SILVER will support the latest intel 12th gen processors. While it comes with support for the latest PCIe 5.0 standard, it’s one of the variants of Z690 chipset motherboards that supports DDR4 memory instead of DDR5. Though, it’s still capable of an astonishing memory frequency of DDR4-5000+, which can be done via overclocking.
For its VRM design, the Z690A-SILVER is equipped with the heavy-duty 70A Dr.MOS and Digital PWM technology, which BIOSTAR claims to be able to keep all hardware components safe while supplying efficient and stable current throughout the motherboard.
