BIOSTAR has unveiled the B850MS-E, a new mATX motherboard based on AMD’s B850 chipset designed for productivity, home entertainment, and commercial deployments.
The board supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series processors, with future Ryzen compatibility available through BIOS updates, and on the other hand, it supports up to 128GB of DDR5-8000+ (OC) memory, dual M.2 slots with one PCIe 5.0 x4 connection, Realtek Gigabit LAN, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, plus optional WiFi 7 and WiFi 6E module support. RAID support is also available for both SATA and NVMe storage configurations.
Several builder-friendly features can be found here, with things like Debug LED diagnostics and M.2 Anchor installation being some of the more practical ones, while Smart BIOS Update allows system maintenance and processor compatibility updates. Additional features include A.I FAN intelligent cooling control and A.I TP Control for simplified system tuning.
