BEST Express Malaysia has announced a nationwide rollout of its smart sorting chain solutions throughout 2026, alongside a strategic decision to merge its express and cargo services under a single unified BEST Express banner from early 2026. The dual initiative signals a push to strengthen operational efficiency and support long-term, scalable growth.
Central to the technology upgrade is the deployment of Dimensioning, Weighing, and Scanning (DWS) systems, which integrate automation, intelligent scanning, and data-driven sorting to improve parcel processing speed and accuracy across major hubs, effectively optimizing the rising shipment volumes while maintaining service reliability for both B2C and B2B segments.
The consolidation of express and cargo services will bring both offerings under one operational framework, enabling more streamlined workflows, optimized resource allocation, and a broader end-to-end logistics proposition. Under the unified model, BEST Express Malaysia will be able to cover delivery needs ranging from lightweight parcels to bulk cargo within a single service ecosystem.
From a customer perspective, the integration is expected to deliver clearer service structures, more consistent service quality, and improved coordination across the nationwide network. The move also aligns with broader industry trends, as logistics players increasingly invest in automation and brand simplification to stay competitive amid growing e-commerce demand and rising expectations for speed and reliability.
BEST Express Malaysia stated that the initiative forms part of its ongoing focus on technological innovation, network expansion, and service excellence as it enters its next growth phase.
