ASUS recently expanded its ProArt lineup beyond the usual laptops, GPUs, and displays, and this time it’s stepping into networking with the new ProArt Router PRT-BE5000 and ProArt Switch PQG-U1080.
What they’re aiming for here is a more complete studio ecosystem, where your connectivity is just as optimized as your workstation. The ProArt Router PRT-BE5000 comes with dual-band WiFi 7 pushing up to 5000Mbps, along with Multi-Link Operation support and dual 2.5G WAN/LAN ports, so you’re getting both fast wireless and flexible wired options in one setup. On top of that, there’s this Creator-First adaptive QoE system that dynamically prioritizes things like file transfers, cloud collaboration, and streaming, making sure your creative workloads don’t get slowed down by background traffic, while ASUS Smart Home Master helps you segment networks easily with dedicated SSIDs for IoT devices and VPN use.
Then you’ve got the ProArt Switch PQG-U1080 for the wired connections, offering 8x 2.5G RJ45 ports and 2x 10G SFP+ ports. It’s clearly built for setups with workstations, NAS systems, and WiFi 7 access points that demand serious bandwidth, and the flexible mounting options – whether on a desk, table leg, or even magnetically attached – make it easier to integrate cleanly into different studio environments.
With these releases, ASUS is moving closer to making its ProArt line more well-rounded with every new product that’s not really about direct content creation, but rather the backbones of processing and connection.
