Following the release of the non-K series of the 12th Gen Intel Core processors at CES 2022, the associated mid-tier chipsets of H670, B660 and H610 are released as well to accommodate the mid-range rigs and ASUS Malaysia has brought in the former 2 series into the country this week.

ASUS H670 B660 Featured

The H670 and B660 is the go-to selection for those hunting for a board that provides a balance of powerful performance, decent feature set with exceptional value. Similar to the premium Z690 series, selected models from both of them carry a PCIe 5.0 slot, RAM overclocking, and support for either both DDR4 and DDR5 memory modules and to make things easier to distinguish, DDR4 specific models all carry the “D4” tag on their official SKU title. Both series are great at providing a plentiful amount of PCIe lanes without going overboard in the CPU overclocking zone because if there’s not a PCIe 5.0 slot in the board, then there’s bound to be multiple PCIe 4.0 slots to let you fit your M.2 NVMe SSDs. As for the H610 motherboard that ASUS will definitely bring in the future, those are aiming at low spec machines that only deal with light tasks where the least amount of funding is needed to access the 12th Gen Intel Core CPU goodness.

ASUS ROG Ryujin II ARGB

ASUS Malaysia also recommends the brand new updated ROG Ryujin II ARGB AIO cooler that is capable of cooling off some of the hottest and high-performing 12th Gen Intel Core chips and also due to the new architecture leading up to new socket sizes and whatnot, the ROG Ryujin II ARGB is made to fit into just that. Equipped with the 7th Gen Asetek pump with embedded downward-facing pump fan running the ASUS Axial-tech design, it is fairly easy to tame the CPU temperature while getting full style points thanks to the 3.5-inch OLED panel running custom graphics or system info. Also, the AIO cooler comes in 360mm and 240mm models to fit into a wide variety of chassis. And technically, the latest revision is not only about the socket update but also the addition of ARGB  that’s what ROG is always about – Gamer Essence.
