While smartphones are improving with a ridiculous price, we can see that ASUS is one of the brands that is taking the opposite approach. Their making smartphones with great specs but at a really low price. Is it possible, though? The answer is yes – with the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) and also the ZenFone 5.
ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1)
To be frank, it’s actually following the footsteps Chinese smartphones. For some reason, ASUS got to lower the price even further while maintaining the specs. I’m talking about mid-high range specs with an entry-level price tag. You can get the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) for as low as RM599 – but only on certain dates.

We have to say, the 5,000mAh battery is a big boon and definitely will be a great phone for Computex. Long hours and with zero chargers available, we’re stuck with whatever we have. Carrying more powerbanks means more weight and more cables… which isn’t convenient at all. A 5,000mAh battery is enough to go through the day – and with a few rounds of Garena’s Free Fire perhaps? Because ASUS and Garena has partnered up.

ASUS ZenFone 5
Their brand new successor of the ZenFone (number) series. ASUS has learned a lot over the past 4 generations of smartphones and we’re sure that they had their ups and downs too. The ZenFone 5 is a culmination of ASUS’s experiences and they crafted a beautiful smartphone that does wonders.
Although the ZenFone 5 does use the Snapdragon 636 like the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1), everything else between these two phones are different. Especially the camera. The ZenFone 5’s camera scored 93 points in DxO photo score – which is just mind-blowing considering only flagship-level smartphones with a high price tag can achieve that score.
