Acer has announced that it wanted a share of the gaming handheld market as well, so they have debuted the new Atlas 8 under the Predator family.Predator Atlas 8 (3)

They are not pulling punches back, because they are directly using the new Intel Arc G-series processors that pack the Arc B390 GPU for a lightweight yet powerful handheld that can drive AAA games with ease, thanks to Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling as well.

The device is also using the Predator AeroBlade cooling that has been adapted into a dual-fan setup for even better cooling performance compared to what’s on the market right now.

The screen is an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, VRR support, 500 nits brightness, and a 16:10 aspect ratio, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC coating to reduce glare and improve durability, while dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra and AI-enhanced microphones are included for gaming and voice chat.

It is also given full-size analog sticks alongside adaptive trigger modes that can switch between instant-click responses for shooters and Hall-effect analog controls for racing or flight simulation games, with PredatorSense giving users quick access to system monitoring, RGB lighting controls, and performance adjustments directly from the handheld itself.

Other notable things include an 80WHr battery, full Windows 11 OS, XBOX Game Pass included, modern I/O including 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD expansion, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Availability

NA, EMEA, and Australia will be getting the Atlas 8 sometime during October this year.
