Following the announcement of the AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors, MSI has revealed its upcoming range of X870 motherboards is ready to support these advanced processors.
For starters, the upcoming MSI X870 motherboards will include the new EZ PCIe Release and EZ PCIe Clip II for easier graphics card installation and removal thanks to an improved hooking mechanism.
Also, the brand has reinforced the PCIe slots with three extra anchor points and thicker materials, making them stronger and able to support twice the weight of the graphics card compared to previous models.
Following that, MSI’s second generation of EZ M.2 Clip II which sports a new Screwless design will be featured on the new X870 motherboards for simple installation and removal of M.2 SSD storage.
Plus, the motherboards are equipped with Lightning PCIe Gen 5.0 and M.2 slots, along with a USB 4 that supports a fast speed of up to 40GB/s.
Finally, MSI has also upgraded its X870 motherboards with quick-release Wi-Fi antenna modules for easy installation on any PC build. Notably, both the MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI and PRO X870-P WIFI boast cutting-edge 5G LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 technologies.
