TP-Link Distribution Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) have signed a strategic 3-year Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the industry-relevant networking skills of students enrolled in the latter institution.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world enterprise requirements, ensuring graduates have practical capabilities aligned with current industry needs.
A core component of the collaboration involves deploying Omada by TP-Link enterprise networking solutions directly within UiTM labs, giving students exposure to typical business infrastructure. This is supplemented by structured training, technical workshops, and access to the Omada Certified Network Administrator (OCNA) certification pathway. Students will also gain internship and industrial training opportunities with TP-Link, creating a clearer employment path in Malaysia’s digital economy.
This effort follows a previous collaboration between TP-Link Malaysia and Universiti Malaya, which saw over 500 students participate in certification programs in 2025. Beyond skill development, the two organizations plan to explore joint research, consultation, and knowledge exchange between TP-Link engineers and UiTM faculty.
