Republic of Gamers (ROG) Announces GX700 – World’s First Liquid Cooled Gaming Laptop Featuring Exclusive Hydro Overclocking System for Greater Overclocking Potential 1
Republic of Gamers (ROG) held a press event to announced the GX700, the world’s first liquid-cooled gaming laptop with detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module.
During the media event, ASUS Malaysia also launched the new GT51CA Gaming Desktop and other gaming series, celebrated ROG’s 10th anniversary, and officially announced on ROG Champions Cup – upcoming largest League of Legends tournament with Garena.
GX700 is powered by the 6th-generation Intel® mobile K-SKU (‘Skylake’) processor and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™ 980 graphics card to give gamers a desktop-grade power at home and ultra-fast performance on the go. The GX700 gaming laptop also features integrated NVIDIA G-SYNC™ display technology for the smoothest, fastest and stunning gaming visuals possible. With the liquid-cooling dock attached, overclocking the ROG GX700 to gaming desktop-like levels of performance is an easy feat. On its own, it packs quite a punch, and easily outperforms other gaming laptops on the market.

ROG Hydro Overclocking System
The exclusive ROG Hydro Overclocking System gives ROG GX700 superior overclocking performance for unrivaled gaming power. It uses a pump to circulate coolant around heat-generating components inside GX700. The liquid coolant then heads back into the cooling module where two radiators help to dissipate heat. The ROG-patented connection between the cooling module and GX700 ensures that the liquid coolant flows smoothly between the two without leaking. The coolant used provides corrosion protection for all internal components and materials, including aluminum, iron, steel, and copper alloys. The very low depletion rate of the organic-acid inhibitor removes the need for supplementary cavitation erosion protection additives, and reduces the maintenance downtime normally required for regular inhibitor tests and additive top-ups to maintain inhibitor concentration.
