Welp, Newegg is 25 years old this year (TIL), and they are going to host something special – the 2026 PC Builder: Extreme PC Build x Esports Simulator Modding event at COMPUTEX 2026, in collaboration with MSI and TAITRA.
Creators and modding specialists from Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Portugal, and Thailand will all be competing on-site, while the event itself expands beyond traditional PC building into racing simulator customization and live modding showcases. Various big YouTubers and community members will be there too, including the founder of PCMR sub-Reddit Pedro / YouTuber Scatter Volt, and Linda Lingda / Japanese OC veteran Takahiro Shimizu/Taiwanese creator Bear BunPie.
A new segment called “Mod Simulator” will be showcased too, with US modder Brian “Boddaker” Carter and Thailand’s JPModified founder Suchao Prowphong set to demonstrate custom simulator and jet-inspired builds live on stage.
Outside the competition itself, the event will also be open to the public for free. Visitors who register online and attend can participate in giveaways that include hardware such as the MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G INSPIRE 3X OC graphics card, MSI QD-OLED gaming monitors and Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processors, with total prizes valued at more than NTD200,000.
Red Bull is also joining the event with a full-scale 1:1 Formula 1 racing simulator setup, alongside drinks and interactive activities designed to give attendees more of a motorsport-themed experience during the show.
The event will be taking place on June 5 from 10AM to 1PM at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, 2F A3/A4/A5 Conference Rooms, and registration is now open.
