12th Jan 2016 – Malaysians that always wanted to have a closer look upon MSI Notebook and other products, look no further, MSI has finally open their first concept store in Malaysia, located at Lot 2.79 2nd Floor @ Lowyat Plaza.

There’s also a 3 Monitor MSI Matrix Display Setup, and we manage to have a try on a racing game, no doubt, it is superb.

Asides MSI Concept Store Opening, There’s also a MSI Speech Venue happening at EspressoLab @ Lowyat Plaza in the morning.
MSI is also kind enough to provide food and drinks for people participating the Speech Venue. YAY! for coffee, nasi lemak, muffin and cakes!
At the speech venue, we’re brief by MSI about their products, technologies, and upcoming products. Biggest highlight are the “Tobii” eye tracking technology that MSI has integrated into their product, unlocking new ways of controlling your device.
MSI is also showcasing 3 new products in the speech venue. 2 Workstation Notebook(WS60 and WS72) and 1 Gaming Notebook(GT72S G Tobii).
If you take a closer look on the right side of the picture, the MSI notebook with 3 red led below the screen, It’s the ‘MSI GT72S G Tobii’ Notebook with Eye Tracking Technology integrated. There’s no news about pricing yet.
The specs for the GT72S G Tobii are
pretty standard for a high-end 17.3-inch. It come with 6th generation Intel
Core i7-6820HK processor (2.9-3.8 GHz) and Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics
with 8GB of GDDR5, 32GB of DDR4 system memory, a 256GB SSD (NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3
x4) and a 1TB SATA HDD (7200RPM) for storage ,And it also the first laptop
come with Tobii’s eye tracking .
Can’t wait to have a try on “Tobii”, controlling with eye sounds like magic to me.
At the end of the day, we’ve finally get to have a chance to try out Tobii, it is certainly a fun & unique experience, playing games by using eye. There’s also few games that have taken the advantage of Tobii, such as Assassin Creed Syndicate or Rogue, which you can control your view angle by using your eye look at the side that you want the view angle to turn, however, it does require some times to get use to it thou, as for myself, i kept having trouble twisting my neck instead of only using my eye lol. If you just simply look away from the sensor, the game would automatically pause. Which is a very convenient feature.
Thanks to MSI for providing us a chance to try out new technologies and foods, We enjoyed ourselves and had a awesome day. W00T!
