MSI has teased a bit of its new products for COMPUTEX 2025, particularly the AI-powered QD-OLED gaming monitors that bring more smart features to pair with more advanced monitor display specs than before.
First, we have the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 coming in as the world’s 1st 27-inch 2K model with 500Hz refresh rate, thanks to the Samsung 3rd-Gen QD-OLED panel that combines the perfect combo of ultra-smooth motion, deep blacks, vibrant colors, and crazy-fast response times of 0.03ms GtG. It’s also certified for VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500, so motion blur and contrast are top-tier.
On the other hand, MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 is more or less the same, but is rated for esports and professional use in addition to all the good stuff like 99% DCI-P3 color gamut and low input lag.
The AI magic for both of them is named “AI Care Sensor”, which utilizes an NPU-based IC plus an always-on CMOS sensor that detects user presence every 0.2 seconds to ensure the monitor is only active when there’s someone using it, further prolonging the longevity of the OLED panel. One can also integrate customization into this presence detection.
