MONTECH’s latest PC case launch revolves around the SKY series through the addition of the new SKY 3 model, aimed to provide more flexibility for builders in terms of supporting modern hardware while keeping the build process clean and straightforward.
The unique design is first portrayed through the modular bottom bracket that lets you rearrange the PSU compartment and bottom fan bracket so that you can chill either the CPU or the GPU, which can be extra useful if one of them is extra power hungry than the other.
The top part’s pretty cool too – you see a toolless drive bracket, detachable top radiator mount, and the sorts. The snap-in design also allows builders to install radiators and fans outside the chassis first and then drop the entire bracket back in afterward. Removing the top frame gives builders a completely flat working surface, which should make installing larger radiators or complex liquid cooling setups a lot less frustrating.
And of course, the horizon lighting concept is implemented in the form of a continuous ARGB LED strip that runs from the front panel toward the side profile, forming a single uninterrupted lighting line. The lighting system connects through wireless gold-plated pogo-pin contacts, so there aren’t any extra visible cables cluttering the interior.
There’s enough internal clearance to handle larger graphics cards such as the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, and on top of that, the case supports back-connect motherboard designs – including implementations like ASUS BTF motherboard design, MSI Project Zero motherboard design, and the GIGABYTE Project STEALTH motherboard design – allowing cables to be routed behind the board for a much cleaner interior layout.
Cooling-wise, retail package bundles the AX120 PRO and RX120 PRO fans, which feature a dual-loop ARGB design with illuminated fan blades and a hexagonal lighting ring.
