Data centers in Cyberjaya are ready for further upscaling as Infinaxis strikes a new proposal with Velo Technologies for a whopping 2MW power capacity.

As Malaysia’s technological progress is accelerating under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030), supported by various measures in Budget 2024 aimed at boosting business digitalization, the data center market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.92% from 2023 to 2029, reaching an estimated US$3.97 billion by 2029. Hence, both companies are addressing the demand through this newly announced plan.

This partnership will extend Velo Technologies’ 24 x 7 support structure to Infinaxis and offer enhanced interconnectivity options through TelcoHubX’s ecosystem. It will also expand its IT outsourcing and managed services portfolio, including proactive monitoring, enterprise network and security services, cybersecurity, hybrid cloud solutions, IaaS, and BaaS, improving data center reliability and redundancy.

The Cyberjaya data center, with a 12MW IT load capacity and 20kN/m² floor loading capacity, is scheduled to be Ready for Service (RFS) by Q2 2025. Also, the seven-story facility is tailored to support extensive data processing and accommodate business growth, with five levels dedicated to data center halls.

Additionally, the carrier-neutral data center is designed to meet the demanding requirements of AI applications with high power density, with each rack offering an average power ranging from 8kW to 15kW.
