HoYoverse has officially announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0, “No Aha at Full Moon,” will launch on February 13, 2026. This major update introduces Planarcadia, a high-concept world governed by the Aeon of Elation, Aha. In this “playground” society, traditional social structures are replaced by a digital-first culture where clout is the primary currency and the population “amuses itself to death.”
The Setting: Planarcadia and Duomension City
Once a flat “World in Canvas,” Planarcadia has been terraformed by the IPC into a bustling hub. Key highlights of this new environment include:
- Duomension City: A metropolis where residents live alongside “imagenae”—creatures that exist only as long as they receive human attention (Wishpower).
- The Phantasmoon Games: A high-stakes tournament where the goal is to attract the most attention by any means necessary. The prize? The surreal honor of becoming an “Aeon for a Minute.”
- Lore Significance: The world serves as the homeland of Navigator Himeko and the site where the Astral Express originally reignited its journey fifteen years ago.
Innovative Combat Mechanics: The “Aha Instant”
Version 4.0 introduces a meta-shifting mechanic centered on the Path of Elation.
- Punchlines: Players accumulate “Punchlines” by using Elation characters or fighting specific enemies.
- Aha Instant: Upon reaching peak interest, the Aeon Aha enters the fray, triggering a phase where Elation characters unleash unique skills in sequence.
- Certified Banger: Following an “Aha Instant,” characters receive permanent buffs that add new layers to turn-based strategy.
New 5-Star Characters
Two new units join the roster, both following the Path of Elation:
- Yao Guang (Physical): A seer from the Xianzhou Alliance who uses “Weal and Woe Lots” to manipulate battle flow, generate Skill Points, and trigger extra Aha Instants.
- Sparxie (Fire): A popular Planarcadia streamer (who bears a striking resemblance to Sparkle). Her kit revolves around a “livestream” mechanic where players consume Skill Points to trigger “Gifts” and massive bounce DMG.

To celebrate the milestone, HoYoverse is offering significant login incentives:
- 20 free pulls and a free 5-star character selector.
- A new outfit for Ruan Mei available for free.
- 1,600 Stellar Jades via the Yao Guang fortune event.
