The event will take place from August 23 to 28 with the final weekend having top teams play in front of a live audience filled with passion and love for the Dota 2 esports scene. For the unknown, the last time ESL One Genting is in 2018 which is 4 years ago and it’ll probably be longer if it wasn’t for the fact that COVID-19 messed up the general schedule rotation. Anyway, this event will be independent of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) so no worries about potentially screwing up the chances of entering The International 11, rather this is the best chance to continue to fine-tune strategies and team coherence.

The total prize pool is set at USD400,000 and 12 teams will be arriving in the country and trying to tear through the bracket via the best-of-two round-robin format. After getting 1 of the 8 available playoff spots, the best-of-three double-elimination format will be used to see who’s gonna exert dominance before doing the grand final’s best-of-five in front of thousands of crowds at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting.

For the ticket sales, it will commence at 3 PM today with prices ranging from RM69 to RM399. No matter your budget, you better sure you grab what you need early so that you don’t need to worry about it later!
