The Cyber Digital Services, Defence and Security Asia (CyberDSA) 2025 has been launched by the government recently, graced by the attendance of multiple key players and organizations within the industry.
Scheduled from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), CyberDSA 2025 highlights Malaysia’s commitment to fostering a unified digital future for ASEAN by directly supporting the goal through facilitating knowledge-sharing and promoting collaboration among governments, businesses, and academia in areas such as AI-driven research, education, and workforce development. This ensures ASEAN is equipped with a skilled talent pool to lead the future of digital security.
Since its debut in 2023, CyberDSA has become Malaysia’s leading content-driven cybersecurity event, bringing together high-ranking regulators, policymakers, military officials, CISOs, industry practitioners, and researchers from around the world. Focused on cutting-edge insights and emerging technologies, it serves as a key platform for advancing digital resilience, AI-driven security, and global competitiveness.
The soft launch event was attended by many key figures, including YBhg. Encik Shakib Ahmad Shakir bin Jamaluddin, Deputy Secretary General (Strategic & Management) of the Ministry of Digital Malaysia; YBhg. Tuan Al-Ishsal bin Prof. Dato’ Ishak T. Kechik, Chairman of CyberSecurity Malaysia; YBhg. Rear Admiral Fadhil bin Abdul Rahman, Director General of the Defence Cyber & Electromagnetic Division, Malaysia Armed Forces; YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab, CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia; and YBhg. Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, Chairman of Aerosea Exhibitions Sdn Bhd, alongside industry leaders and cybersecurity professionals.
Under the theme “Pioneering the Future of a Resilient Digital Nation,” the 2025 edition will feature over 150 exhibitors from 30 countries, 80 VIP delegations from 20 nations, and 100 world-class speakers, attracting more than 8,000 trade visitors.
Key highlights of CyberDSA 2025
Organized with support from the Ministry of Digital, CyberSecurity Malaysia, and the Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division of the Malaysian Armed Forces, CyberDSA 2025 will serve as a hub for exploring advancements, opportunities, and challenges shaping digital security.
Key focus areas include blockchain, cryptocurrency and database security, IoT and application security, incident response, and the transformative impact of generative AI. Satellite forums will feature discussions on Quantum Safe Migration, Advancing Cryptocurrency Investigations, and ASEAN Vehicle Forensic Investigation, offering insights into emerging threats and innovations.
To foster innovation and talent development, CyberDSA 2025 will host a hackathon and Cyber Labs, providing cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and startups a platform to showcase solutions and tackle real-world challenges. The Flash Talk Zone and tech update sessions will deliver concise insights into the latest cybersecurity trends.
Strategic collaborations will be a key focus, with Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signings formalizing partnerships between leading cybersecurity firms, defense agencies, and tech providers. These alliances will enhance cybersecurity capabilities and cross-industry cooperation.
CyberDSA 2025 will conclude with the Malaysia Cyber Security Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in cybersecurity innovation, leadership, and infrastructure protection.
