US President Donald Trump’s tariff on imports of steel, aluminum, etc which resulted in the raise of price by almost 80% has hit the industry hard. Many companies are forced to make tough decisions to reduce the overall cost, and some are forced to end their business in the worst possible way. CaseLabs, the premium PC case maker known by many of the PC enthusiasts are among those that are badly affected.

The announcement was made today, with the decision to close down both CaseLabs and its parent company after things went really bad for them – Citing increased cost, and reduced margins as incompatible with further day to day operation of the company. In the announcement, CaseLabs also stated that they will not be able to fulfill all of the case orders, but they will still be shipping the completed cases and parts orders at their best effort.
