BlackBerry Limited is strengthening its presence in Malaysia with a major expansion of its Secure Communications division’s Asia Pacific (APAC) regional headquarters.
Following the successful launch of the MCMC and BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Cyberjaya in March 2024 as well as footprint expansion in Cyberjaya, central Kuala Lumpur, and Mont Kiara, the latest move will be adding a new sales and marketing office along with a dedicated Regional Support Centre staffed by more than 50 technical experts, delivering round-the-clock support and professional services across the APAC market.
BlackBerry’s Senior Vice President for APAC, Tash Stamatelos, said the enhanced presence aligns with Malaysia’s ambitions to become a regional hub for digital resilience and innovation, while equipping the region with sovereign, military-grade communications to counter complex security threats, espionage, and emerging cyber risks.
Additionally, a recent partnership with EC-Council will provide self-paced learning courses for Malaysian civil servants, further enhancing national cyber capabilities.
