Exabytes has announced that its cloud training program, led by them, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Forward College, has seen 108 participants officially graduate and been equipped with modern IT skills related to the cloud computing market.

Exabytes Talent Initiative AWS Cohort

The graduation held at AWS Malaysia’s KUL15 facility represents the first completed cohort under a structured effort designed to prepare Malaysians for high-demand roles in cloud computing, AI, and digital infrastructure. The program specifically targets unemployed, underemployed, and career-transitioning individuals, combining technical cloud training with certification pathways, hands-on learning, career coaching, and employer engagement.

More than 15% of the first cohort secured interviews or job opportunities before graduation, including a participant who transitioned from an IT Executive role into a Network Engineer position after completing the programme. Hiring partners such as Exabytes, Hiredly, altSHIFT, PAIX, and Consurv Technic were present at the ceremony to connect directly with graduates and support recruitment efforts.

AWS ASEAN Partner Organization leadership noted that closing the skills gap will be critical for sustaining Malaysia’s digital growth, while Forward College emphasized strong momentum in upcoming cohorts, with hundreds of learners already enrolled in the next intake cycles.

The initiative sits within Exabytes’ broader CCoE framework, which aims to align industry, education, and cloud providers to create more direct employment pathways. It also includes a fully sponsored NitroDegree in Applied Software Engineering, expanding structured routes into tech careers.

Applications are currently open for those interested in the next iteration of the initiative.
