ASUS is joining the GaN power with the release of the TUF Gaming Platinum series PSUs that utilize next-gen GaN MOSFET that improves in practically every aspect.
These GaN parts allow high efficiency and lower heat generation while consuming less PCB space in general, therefore the internal layout’s cleaner than ever. They also come with enhanced airflow and cool operation, which in turn means quiet operations of below 30dB.
Aside from dual-ball fan bearings, the usual military-grade Japanese capacitors are for superior stability and reliability, while the added protective PCB coating shields the internal components against moisture, dust, and extreme temperatures.
Then it’s the usual stuff – ATX 3.1 compliant, 16-pin power cable for up to 600W power delivery, and fully-modular etched cables made from tin-plated oxygen-free copper.
As for availability, they will be sold in Malaysia starting next month with wattage options of 850W, 1000W, and 1200W.
