ASUS has announced that its ProArt line of pro-grade monitors is now more friendly towards Mac users, no matter whether you’re using a MacBook, Mac Mini, or Mac Studio.
To start, the ASUS DisplayWidget Center for macOS is now a proper native app that provides a clean, intuitive way to adjust brightness, contrast, and color temperature, while also letting you control monitor brightness directly using your MacBook’s shortcut keys, and pairing that with the new M Model P3 color mode that aligns the ProArt display’s color output with your MacBook for much more consistent color across both screens.
Aside from being powerful on its own with up to Delta E<1 color accuracy and a wide 99% DCI-P3 gamut, Apple devices with ProMotion may also enable a higher refresh rate of up to 240Hz, and ASUS also confirms all units shipped will have 3rd-party lab certifications to ensure broad compatibility with MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and Mac Studio.
For anyone running a single-cable desk setup, the built-in USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 support feels especially practical, since it handles fast data transfer, DisplayPort output, and up to 96W Power Delivery for charging your MacBook, all through one cable, while the hub function connects peripherals directly across a wide variety of connectors, including USB-C, HDMI, and DP. There’s also Auto KVM for the multi-system users.
While all units is factory calibrated to Calman Verified standards, ProArt Calibration works on macOS in both SDR and HDR while saving color profiles directly to the monitor’s internal chip instead of the computer, and it can even generate ICC profiles for ProArt displays and other monitors or MacBook screens, which ties neatly into ProArt Color Center for teams managing multiple displays across different locations, while deeper integration with tools like Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS helps make professional calibration workflows faster and more seamless.
And of course, there’s the ergonomic stands for tilt, swivel, and height adjustments, a tool-free quick-release VESA mount, TÜV Rheinland-certified Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies to reduce eye strain, and a Blue Light Filter that can be adjusted from 0-100% directly in the OSD. Meanwhile, the bundled Adobe Creative Cloud membership access is still available for redemption until August 31 of this year.
