Since its initial introduction on the ZenBook Pro 15, as the technology continues to trickle down from the top range devices, today ASUS has announced the new ZenBook 13/14/15 (UX334/UX434/UX534) will be inheriting the latest ScreenPad 2.0 secondary touchscreen trackpad.
If you still remember our previous review for the ZenBook 13 (UX333), we are absolutely delighted with the laptop’s premium design & compact footprint yet without compromising the performance. The new ZenBooks are practically having the same chassis but with a larger 5.65-inch touchscreen that is said to enhance one’s productivity.
ScreenPad 2.0
This interactive 5.65-inch secondary touchscreen has a 2:1 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 display resolution. It includes a collection of handy ASUS utilities such as Quick Key that performs keyboard macro with ease, Handwriting for natural text input, and Number Key for rapid numeric entry. The new interface took inspiration from smartphone’s UI for more intuitive user experience. Besides, the new hardware is now more energy efficient than its predecessor, allowing for 2.5x longer battery life when ScreenPad is in use.
Under the Hood
The new ZenBook series, again, will not be slouching in the performance department as it features up to the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and dedicated graphics processing unit, including up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 for the ZenBook 13 and 14. The ZenBook 15 is equipped with the high-performance NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. PCIe NVMe SSD is standard across the range and the soldered RAM is up to 16GB.
