Diablo 4 is a great game.  After multiple betas and a few teasers, it’s safe to say that this game is now available on console as well as on PC. Of course, even if you are very familiar with Diablo 3 or some of the other games in the franchise, it’s important to know that Blizzard have now taken time to modernise this game in a few unique ways.

They have added some open-world elements, and this is great, to say the least. At the end of the day, it can be very easy for you to get lost in some of the game’s elements, even if you are a pro. If you want to make things easier on yourself then here are some top tips that will help you to make the most out of your experience.

Try out All the Classes

The first thing you need to do is try out all of the classes that are available to you. Diablo 4 gives you the chance to create up to 10 characters and you can do this across five classes. You have Sorcerer, Rogue, Druid and Necromancer. You also have Barbarian as well. Now, ideally, you will have a solid idea of what you want to play because you have either tried them out in the beta, or you have a specific fantasy archetype.

Regardless of the class you choose, you need to spend some major time experiencing the other classes as well. This is a very long game, and it is going to take you a very long time to perfect everything if you are always using a single character. Unless you are serious about your class, you need to spend a bit of time with all of them before you go ahead and invest in your favourite.

If you can do this, then you will soon find that things end up working in your favour. Even if you are confident that the Barbarian is the best class for you, you should try the others before you gain knowledge of your co-op friends or even your allies. Who knows, you may even decide to try your luck at being a Necromancer or a Druid.

Change your Looting

Nothing is more essential to the Diablo games than doing the loot grind. Finding buffs, the build that you are making, and it gives you the chance to both hack your way through the biggest of enemies.

In this game, however, you may notice that sometimes, the loot you are trying to pick up simply vanishes off the floor. This is the last thing you want. One thing to note is that the item label will fade away after 10 seconds, but you can change the display. There will be moments when you are trying to fight horde after horde, but if the fight goes beyond the 10 seconds, then you will lose everything you have worked so hard to get. It’s still on the floor of course, but it will not be visible. Head on to the Gameplay tab and then adjust it in your settings. This is a great way for you to get the overall experience you are looking for in the game.

Don’t Be Afraid to Gamble

If you want to make the most out of your game, then don’t be afraid to gamble. Check out this complete guide on how to win at blackjack if you want to make sure that you are not just leaving your chances of winning, entirely down to luck.

You Have to Unlock Waypoints

Another thing to take note of is that you have to unlock waypoints. This is done manually. A lot of games automatically unlock the fast travel points for you when you pass them. With this game, you have to interact with them purposefully. The prompt asks you to press X when you are close to making sure that you do it, but at the end of the day, the last thing you want is to find yourself stuck in a dungeon being beaten by a boss time and time again because they are outranking you when in reality, you could have fast-travelled out a while ago.

Use the Map’s Feature

Diablo 4 doesn’t give you the chance to move if you have your map open. For this reason, you need to make sure that you set a pin. If you do this, then you will be able to get to wherever you are going with ease. If you are having a hard time knowing where you are supposed to be going, then it is very easy for you to find out if you load up your quests and then go from there. If you can do this, then you will soon find that you can get the result you are looking for. If you pull up your map, then you will see a control panel.

If you are using the PS then you will have to press square, and this will drop a pin. It’s very similar to creating a waypoint. Your mini-map will then display a red line, and this will lead you to wherever you need to go. This is a fantastic way for you to find the main quest objectives you need, and it is also super easy to find the Altars of Lilith too.

Weapons Degrade

When it comes to dying, there aren’t too many drawbacks in this game unless you are opting for a hardcore character. The checkpoints are somewhat generous, and it doesn’t take long to respawn at all. That being said, there are some drawbacks, every time you die your weapons will degrade a bit. You also have the advantage of being able to try out new skills that you might not be too sure about.

This is especially the case in the earlier game. You can re-spec as many times as you want, and you can do this until you get to level 15. Of course, it’s an easy way for you to see if you like certain parts of the skill tree before you go ahead and commit fully. If you are playing as a sorcerer then why not try and swap your build between ice, fire and even lightning. You can do this with ease as it is a fantastic way for you to see what you love most. When you get past a certain level you will have to pay some gold. The cost isn’t so expensive that you can never swap, but it will hurt you financially to experiment. For this reason, it is wise for you to get it out of the way early so you can go on to experiment at a later date.

Dismantle your Gear

You can automatically mark any loot you have as junk. Selling junk in bulk can give you a bit of money but at the same time, you have to remember that you will earn quite a lot by simply defeating enemies. You can also loot chests. You are far better off dismantling your gear at the blacksmith and then selling it there. If you can dismantle an item for the very first time, then you will have the option to unlock that item in your transmog wardrobe. The only downside here is if you are planning on doing your skill tree again soon then you will want to swap selling. The beauty of the economy is that you have the option of being able to salvage and sell your item based on the needs that you have. Fill your pockets with all of the magical material you have and destroy your gear at the blacksmith.

Focus on Aspects

Aspects are passive but at the end of the day, you can add them onto your gear as an effect, or you can modify an existing one. You can gain the ability by completing dungeons and by extracting them from what you have so you can increase your damage. These passives can upgrade your abilities and they can also bulk up your defences. You can get way more utility with your character this way and you would be surprised at how much it could make to your character.

You will soon find that it is easy for you to take down the mightiest of enemies and you would be surprised at how easy it is for you to get the result you want when you simply focus on this. While Aspects are important for builds and the end game, you have to remember that there is nothing wrong with you taking the time to spend your resources on getting your character going. You can do this before you reach the last level. Aspects make your character very powerful, and it is a great way for you to speed through the game without having to worry much.

So, as you can see, it’s entirely possible for you to make the most out of Diablo and when you follow this guide, you should find that things become way easier for you. Why not see if it is possible for you to step up your game today by implementing the above?
