You got the paper, ROG’s got the wares – The brand has announced the new ROG Strix OLED series to push the ceiling of the best gaming experience money can buy to another level.

ROG XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG (2)

For this release, 2 models will be taking the head charge – The XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG. As the title suggest, they are the world’s 1st 4K WOLED gaming monitor enhanced by TrueBlack Glossy film.

ROG TrueBlack Glossy FilmBasically, this is an engineered anti-reflective coating that cuts down on glare in a big way, achieving a cleaner and nondisruptive output than other similar coatings in the market. This also makes the blacks stay deep and rich, which is also part of the reason to get an OLED gaming display in the first place.

Aside from running the standard 4K 165Hz configuration, both support Dual Mode resolution that swaps to a super high refresh rate 1080p profile where the UCWMG achieves 480Hz while the UCWG is at 330Hz, respectively.

Additionally, the Neo Proximity Sensor is there to help prevent OLED burn-in by switching off itself upon user absence, on top of the existing OLED Care Pro suite of features like pixel shifting and brightness limits for static elements, and of course, a 3-year OLED burn-in warranty.

In terms of design, the stand got a slight revamp, which takes up 60% less space than the older 32-inch ROG OLEDs. You still get full height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, though. And if you’re juggling multiple devices, the Auto KVM lets you switch between two PCs or laptops using just one keyboard and mouse. Connectivity’s solid too: HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 15W power delivery, a USB hub, and even a headphone jack.

Availability

Although ROG Malaysia has confirmed that both of these gaming monitors will be coming to the local market, the release schedule and pricing remain TBA for now.
