There are still a few days left before the Radeon RX 5600 XT hits the shelves and NVIDIA is already on the move to counter AMD’s new graphics card for the 1080p segment with a surprise price cut on its GeForce RTX 2060.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Price

Originally launched at $349, the GeForce RTX 2060 has its price reduced to $299 just before the Radeon RX 5600 XT official release on January 21. The price reduction puts the already reasonable RTX 2060 in an even better position, which makes gaming on RTX slightly more affordable than before.

Though, this also put the GTX 1660 Ti in a tough position because of the little price difference after the price reduction. Gamers can just ignore the GTX 16 series cards to just go directly with the RTX 2060, which is far more reasonable because you’ll be getting the RTX features by paying just a mere $20 more.

GeForce RTX 2060 Price Cut

NVIDIA’s surprise price cut on the RTX 2060 seems pretty intentional, but it’s unsure if AMD will counter this with another price reduction before launch, or perhaps, a tweak to the specifications before January 21.
