Lenovo Malaysia is back with another round of announcements by introducing the latest generation of the famous Legion 5 series gaming laptops.
Still consisting of the Legion 5, Legion 5i, Legion 5 Pro, and Legion 5i Pro, all of these laptops are ready to help you tackle the latest games easily with powerful hardware and beautiful design to make sure you can both enjoy your favorite titles and be cool at the same time. And they are still the same gaming laptop you’ve known for years with the Legion 5 and 5i being the all-rounder device packing an Intel Core i7-12700H (5i) or next-gen AMD Ryzen processor to go with an up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU powering a high-quality 15-inch WQHD IPS panel with up to 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut.
Lenovo also took some time to refine the form factor of the device with this year’s edition now being 15% thinner than previous generations for even more mobility on top of improving the thermal solution like a 40% larger exhaust fan and 45% larger cooling fins. On the other hand, other core features are still here to serve fellow gamers including the TrueStrike keyboard, 4-zone RGB lighting, a plethora of I/O ports on the back, and a handy 1-finger lift cover lid.
The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro gears towards the use of competitive gaming because the main upgrade comes from the display which is now a WHQD+ for more pixels and a superb max 240Hz refresh rate which is the world’s first 16-inch laptop to do so. Coupled with the latest DDR5 4800MHz RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD to support the main pairing of Intel Core i7-12700H and the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series GPU with a maximum of 150W TGP, this is basically one of the most top-specced desktops in a laptop form factor.
The 7th generation laptop is also carrying a more refined design in terms of better heat dissipation, quieter overall operation decibels, and sharper color. Looking from an external perspective, little bit of improvements over here and there can also be found if your eyes are keen enough like an electronic-powered webcam shutter and 2 x 2W stereo speaker powered by Nahimic for the best sound profiles and detailed tuning possible.
