ASUS Malaysia has announced the ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor for the local market, and it will be made available in the near future, offering something pretty neat for anyone looking to beef up their outdoor WiFi.
Designed for outdoor use, this thing can push speeds up to 3600Mbps and reach as far as 2530 feet, thanks to dual-band WiFi 7 with fancy features like Multi-Link Operation for smoother connections and 4K-QAM for better data efficiency. If you’ve already got an ASUS AiMesh setup, it’ll mesh right in to expand your coverage seamlessly.
As for durability, it’s made to handle the elements such as rain, dust, extreme heat or cold, you name it. It’s IP65-rated, has surge protection, and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which means you can install it with just one cable. Plus, you’ve got the flexibility to mount it wherever it works best for you; it can be on a wall, pole, or even a flat surface.
Security-wise, ASUS is packing in its AiProtection Pro suite, along with parental controls and VPN support. There’s also this Smart Home Master feature that lets you set up multiple SSIDs, which is super handy if you want to isolate devices like security cams or smart BBQs from the rest of your network.
