Synology dropped a new product called the BeeStation Plus that builds on their existing BeeStation line but packs in a lot more power.

Synology BeeStation Plus

Aimed at families, creative teams, and professionals who want a simple, plug-and-play way to manage all their files without needing to mess around with complex network setups, the Beestation Plus continues the Beestation spirit of creating a cloud-like experience without the technical headaches, this time at a bigger scale for those demanding a bit more than the last release.

With up to 4.8x the performance of the normal Beestation and 8TB of storage, one can get a very nice and responsive storage ready to serve at all times, and it also provides automatic backup from pretty much anywhere like your phone, laptop, cloud photo services, even external drives. And thanks to built-in local AI, you can search for people or subjects in your photos instantly without sending anything to the cloud, which is a nice privacy touch.

Wanna get some media files in to enjoy them at times? Then its Plex Media Server support makes everything so easy, from storing to streaming your personal library.

On the data safety side, it includes snapshot-based restore points and a free three-month BeeProtect cloud backup subscription. It’s designed to make offsite backup dead simple and secure, with end-to-end encryption so only you can access your stuff—even if something goes wrong like theft or a natural disaster.

Availability

The BeeStation Plus is available starting today through Synology’s website and official retailers.
