Hitachi Vantara has unveiled its new EverFlex AI Data Hub as a Service, an end-to-end managed offering aimed at addressing the growing challenges organizations face in AI data preparation and infrastructure management.
Built as a modern data lakehouse platform with integrated workbench capabilities, the solution supports AI, business intelligence (BI), and data workloads, and is offered under a flexible infrastructure consumption model.
As artificial intelligence adoption accelerates, many enterprises are struggling with fragmented data environments and resource constraints. According to Hitachi Vantara’s State of Data Infrastructure Report, 98% of organizations operate across multiple storage platforms, with over half using a mix of on-prem, private, hybrid, and public clouds. This complexity has contributed to a high failure rate in AI initiatives—research shows up to 80% of AI and data projects fail, with data preparation issues costing the industry more than $100 billion annually.
As such, the new EverFlex AI Data Hub addresses this by offering hybrid cloud flexibility, allowing customers to pay only for the infrastructure they need while maintaining control and data governance. It provides a unified view of enterprise data, supports real-time integration without duplication, and ensures strong data quality, governance, and security, which are all keys to successful AI and BI deployment.
The AI Data Hub is underpinned by Hitachi VSP One and the company’s iQ infrastructure, enhanced by a Cisco-powered hybrid cloud and Zetaris’ modern lakehouse software. This stack supports unified data management through VSP 360, providing AIOps-driven observability and compliance tools across block, file, object, and software-defined storage. For AI workloads, it offers GPU-powered compute, high-speed storage, and real-time data integration across multiple sources via federated analytics, enabling enterprises to run AI and BI workloads on live data without centralizing it.
By consolidating AI infrastructure, data governance, and hybrid cloud orchestration into a single service, Hitachi Vantara positions EverFlex AI Data Hub as a key enabler for AI innovation, helping enterprises overcome technical barriers and streamline data operations.
