Cloudflare has partnered with major software companies, including Asana, Atlassian, Block, PayPal, Sentry, Stripe, and more, to enable secure AI-powered interactions with business tools using Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant.
These integrations are built using Cloudflare Workers and the open-source MCP (Messages, Commands, Permissions) protocol developed by Anthropic. Usually, conventional AI tools fall short of taking direct action within applications since they are not “connected” as per se, but with the new remote MCP server feature hosted on Cloudflare’s global infrastructure, Claude will be capable of performing tasks such as sending emails, managing inventory, or updating project status – all without switching apps or leaving the AI assistant’s coverage.
The approach promises to make AI agents more functional and autonomous by enabling secure, low-latency access to real-time business systems.
Cloudflare says it’s the only provider offering a complete toolkit for building remote MCP servers, simplifying authentication, authorization, and visibility, and reducing development time from weeks to days, thus positioning the company at the core of emerging AI interfaces that aim to replace traditional app navigation with natural-language interactions.
Industry partners have adopted it early and have shown progress in how it helps with their businesses:
- Asana: Transforms natural language into structured work – e.g., creating projects from meeting notes or pulling updates via Claude.
- Atlassian: Integrates Claude with Jira and Confluence, allowing team workflows to be managed conversationally.
- Block (Square): Lets AI agents interact with Square’s full API suite to support commerce-related tasks like payment and order management.
- Intercom: Connects Claude and Intercom’s Fin to customer systems effortlessly, recommending Cloudflare as the MCP server platform.
- Linear: Embeds issue tracking and product development workflows into AI tools to eliminate context switching for developers.
- PayPal: Offers Claude-based access to commerce functions like payments, shipping, and refunds, simplifying workflow automation.
- Sentry: Integrates AI tools with observability features to enhance debugging and reliability for developers.
- Stripe: Provides a toolkit that enables developers to monetize their MCP-based AI agents with minimal coding.
- Webflow: Allows AI to automate CMS management, blog generation, SEO optimization, and platform support tasks through Claude.
Additionally, Cloudflare launched its own MCP servers to let users build applications, analyze logs, and secure infrastructure directly through conversations with Claude. These servers are open-sourced and available at Cloudflare’s MCP GitHub.
