As with most DDR5-6000 CL30 kits available today, simply enabling the XMP profile delivers stable performance without requiring any additional adjustments.
However, we wanted to see how much room the ARMAX DDR5 has for users who are interested in going just a little beyond the stock profile without diving into extensive manual memory tuning.
Of course, there is still considerably more headroom available for enthusiasts willing to invest the time. During our testing, the ARMAX DDR5 also demonstrated the potential to reach DDR5-8000 with additional tuning, although achieving those speeds naturally depends on factors such as the processor’s integrated memory controller, motherboard memory topology, and the amount of manual tuning involved.


With only minimal adjustments, we were able to run the kit at DDR5-6400 while maintaining the same CL30 primary timings. The process required very little effort, making it a realistic upgrade path for users who are already comfortable enabling XMP and want to squeeze a little more performance from their memory without spending hours tweaking secondary and tertiary timings.
Final Thoughts

The XPG ARMAX DDR5 may not be the fastest DDR5 memory kit on paper, but that’s not really what it’s trying to be. Instead, it offers a solid balance between performance, compatibility, and ease of use. The DDR5-6000 CL30 XMP profile already provides excellent out-of-the-box performance for modern Intel and AMD platforms, while the additional tuning headroom gives enthusiasts the flexibility to push things a little further if they wish.
What impressed us most during our testing wasn’t necessarily the ability to reach crazy timings or speeds, but rather how easily the kit could be tuned to DDR5-6400 CL30 with minimal effort. It’s the sort of optimisation that many users can realistically achieve without spending hours fine-tuning memory timings, making it a practical upgrade for those looking to extract a little more performance from their system and perhaps improved 1% low performance in games.
