Western Digital (WD) has released 2 new SanDisk portable SSDs, the SanDisk Extreme, and SanDisk Extreme Pro. Both are purpose-built to keep up with the increasing demand for both big storage and high transfer speed with nearly 2 times the speed offered over previous generations.
The SSDs is perfect for content creation, capturing and moving big files such as 4K and 8K as it offers up to 1050MB/s read and 1000MB/s write for the Extreme and 2000MB/s read and write for the Extreme PRO that meets the modern requirements set by professionals such as photographers, video editors, and enthusiast bloggers.
Not only it is a speedy one, the higher tier Extreme PRO features a forged aluminum chassis for assisting heat dissipation and a durable silicone design to withstand random bumps during traveling with both models being IP55 water and dust resistance certified. Additionally, the protection feature is powered by 256-bit AES hardware encryption for a respectable security level.
