With the release of the latest powerhouse of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 series of processors, V-COLOR has announced that its OC RDIMM DDR5 lineup has been updated to be compatible and fully unleash the power of the Shimada Peak CPUs.
These new modules are rated to push overclocking speeds up to 8200 MT/s, offering configurations from 16GB all the way to 256GB per DIMM, with both RGB and non-RGB options to suit different build styles. Particularly, the upgrade is done in the form of stability enhancement, signal integrity protection, and efficiency in order to cater to the massive 2TB octa-channel / 1TB quad-channel setups for the best local computing experience one can get.
Unlike traditional ECC RDIMM, these modules offer overclocking headroom and tighter latencies, giving power users more room to fine-tune performance. This is especially useful for enterprises relying on local AI processing, as the memory enables real-time data handling and deep learning without depending on costly cloud GPU clusters, which also improves privacy and reduces latency.
Aside from the usual on-die ECC, it also comes with custom heatsinks and compatibility tuning for major workstation motherboards, while the brand’s high binning standard allows systems to operate long term at the expected performance.
Availability
As for the launch window, V-COLOR is expecting a Q3 release for this year, and it will be made available via its website, Amazon, Newegg, and authorized distributors.
