After making its first public appearance at Computex 2025, the TRYX STAGE has finally landed on our test bench. This is clearly a product designed with showcase builds in mind, aimed at users who want their system to stand out visually rather than blend into the background.
Still, visuals can only take things so far. Once the novelty of the dual screens settles, the real question becomes much more practical. Can the TRYX STAGE 360 actually deliver the cooling performance expected from a high-end 360mm AIO, especially at the price of RM 999? Let’s dive in.
Design
The standout feature of the STAGE is obviously the dual IPS displays mounted directly onto the pump block. Instead of going with a single flat panel or a small screen window, TRYX angled the two displays to create a stage-like layout that remains clearly visible through tempered glass side panels.
The display module attaches magnetically and locks into place securely, while the pump housing feels sturdy and well put together. Do note that the main base of the display is a mirror surface that is meant for your figurines, so you’ll have to make sure that you get the orientation right when installing it in your system.
The STAGE is paired with a 360mm radiator and ROTA SL 120 ARGB fans, which come pre-installed. The fans are daisy-chained via pogo pins with magnetic contact cable to simplify cable management, helping to reduce cable clutter and making the installation process a little less tedious.
From a visual standpoint, this cooler is clearly targeted at modern white or RGB-focused builds. It fits comfortably in mid-tower and full-tower cases that support 360mm radiators, though clearance around the pump block and display module is something builders should double-check before installation.
Installation Experience
Installing the STAGE is mostly straightforward. The Intel mounting bracket comes pre-installed, and switching over to AMD hardware is quick and easy thanks to the twist-and-lock mechanism on the mounting bracket.
Cable management is the only area that requires some planning. In addition to the usual pump and fan connections, the display module needs SATA power and a USB connection. This is not difficult to deal with, but users aiming for a clean interior will want to take their time with routing.
Once everything is connected, the magnetic display attachment makes final positioning and alignment simple.
Thermal Performance With Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
To evaluate its cooling capabilities, the STAGE was paired with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and tested with a 250W power limit in place. Under sustained load, the cooler recorded an average CPU temperature of 84°C, with peak temperatures reaching up to 91°C, while idle temperatures settled around 40°C.
These results place the STAGE exactly where you would expect a competent 360mm AIO to land. It may not be the strongest performer in terms of absolute thermal headroom, especially when it’s compared against the much more powerful Panorama 360 ARGB, but it still delivers stable and consistent cooling even under prolonged heavy workloads.
More importantly, the addition of the dual IPS display hardware does not appear to compromise cooling efficiency, which is worth highlighting as feature-heavy designs often trade performance for aesthetics.
Software and Customization
The displays are controlled through TRYX’s KANALI software, which allows users to customize what is shown across both screens. You can opt for real-time system monitoring, animated visuals, or a mix of both depending on your preference.
The screens themselves are bright, sharp, and large enough to be genuinely useful. Users can choose to display real-time system information such as CPU temperature and load, or switch to custom images and animations if aesthetics take priority.
This adds practical value beyond pure aesthetics, especially for users who like having system information visible at a glance without needing additional software windows running in the background.
Final Thoughts
The TRYX STAGE ARGB is clearly not designed for minimal or understated builds. It is aimed at users who want their CPU cooler to play a visible role in the overall presentation of their system. Is it worth paying RM 999 for this? It is definitely on the pricier side, but given the aesthetics and performance it delivers, I would say it is still considerable.
Cooling performance is solid for a 360mm AIO, installation is manageable with some cable planning, and the dual IPS display adds both visual flair and functional monitoring options. It may not be the quietest or most affordable option in its class, but it offers something genuinely different.
