To encourage and support the development of the gaming and eSports industry amongst the youth, THUNDEROBOT – a leading gaming computer manufacturer – is co-sponsoring SEGi College Penang’s 2nd Global Education Day (GED) 2018 held at 1st Avenue Mall, Penang on 15 and 16 December 2018.

In support of the increasingly popular and growing segment of eSports and gaming, the initiative aspires to increase the industry’s popularity amongst young Malaysians with the hopes of driving further awareness towards industry.

Sam Chen, Country Manager of THUNDEROBOT said: “It has always been THUNDEROBOT’s focus to foster gaming and eSports amongst the youth as the gaming has shown to be very beneficial to improve cognitive and problem-solving skills, among many other benefits. We hope that many others will support this industry further for the good of the youth, to keep them from partaking in potentially harmful activities instead.”

THUNDEROBOT Launch

THUNDEROBOT will be participating in the event through many activities such as an“E-Sports Experience Zone” that will allow visitors to try their hand at exciting games like League of Legends, FIFA Online 3 and more. THUNDEROBOT will also be providing lucky draw prizes worth up to RM5,000 such as the Thunderobot 911SE Gaming Laptop, K70 and K30 keyboards and other great prizes.

Global Education Day was conceptualised by SEGi College’s school of Engineering & IT to create better awareness on the importance of being better equipped with knowledge, skills and qualifications to secure a better future. Officiating the event will be YB. Prof. Dr. Ramasamy A/L Palanisamy, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang.
