ROG’s Strix series of products has been expanded once again with 2 new monitors – the XG27UCS and XG27ACS.

Since they are both quite similar in their design choices except with different resolutions as such we’ll go through the differences first – the XG27UCS is a 4K 160Hz model while the XG27ACS goes for 1440p 180Hz.

Now the rest are the similarities. Both of them host G-SYNC Compatibility and Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) for super smooth gameplay while DisplayHDR 400 certification and wide DCI-P3 gamut cover the HDR and color accuracy department. You may also find several “overdrive settings” enabled through ASUS Variable Overdrive 2.0 to get rid of things like ghosting.

Need more? Then the AI-powered GamePlus feature gives the hardware-enabled crosshair more accuracy than ever before as well as Dynamic Shadow Boost lifting up the brightness of dark areas so you don’t get shadow-camped.

In terms of I/O ports, there’s the standard DP 1.4 + HDMI 2.0 combo alongside USB-C with DP Alt output and Power Delivery as well to charge all sorts of devices. On the other hand, the DisplayWidget Center app gives you more control and an easier understanding of all the options without relying on the OSD menu.

Price and Availability

In Malaysia, only the XG27ACS is available on shelves right now at the price of RM1,699 while the XG27UCS will come at a later date.
