Specifically for RTX Remix, Smooth Normals are now available after being demanded by the community, as it adds smooth-normal generation automatically for captured legacy geometry, making older assets look less blocky or faceted under path-traced lighting. On the other hand, a new RTX IO compression option has been added with split-size presets going from 1GB to 16GB. Taking a page from ‘Portal with RTX’, Team Green says that the entire size has been cut down from 25GB to 17GB, while ‘Half Life 2 RTX’ is even more impressive, from 80GB to 50GB.
Meanwhile, viewport light controls have been improved as well, and existing light manipulators are easier to manage through a unified viewport lights menu, with persistent toggles for manipulator visibility and intensity controls. Lastly, agentic AI can now utilize RTX Remix Skills with text-based instruction files that provide specific functional context to AI coding agents. These files include guides on creating feature branches, conducting unit tests, preparing merge requests, and much more.

Meanwhile, 4 titles are getting various DLSS options, including the long-awaited Steam release of ZZZ. Here’s what they will be getting:
