NVIDIA’s Project G-Assist Plug-In Hackathon event is calling for more talented coders (No matter you’re vibing or not) to join in and help the experimental AI assistant become better at serving various gamers in their gaming needs.

NVIDIA G Assist Plug in Hackathon

For those who don’t know, G-Assist Plug-In is a kind of custom add-on that helps extend the capabilities of NVIDIA G-Assist developed via its open framework. For example, certain functions have been demonstrated beginning last year, from controlling your PC with voice/text and managing peripheral lights to launching other software.

Supporting multiple coding languages, NVIDIA recommends Python for rapid development that serves simple and lightweight functions, while mission-critical and powerful features can be done in C++. What’s more, automation between hardware and the OS can be done with custom code for additional interactions curated to specific demands.

The entire hackathon process goes as below:

  1. Join the fray via this link, and fill in your info
  2. Start building your project, either through available resources through repositories and communities, or just straight into the real deal if you’re already familiar with the game

    1. Source Code File (plugin.py)
    2. Requirements.txt
