NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 2060 today at CES 2019 and it’s probably the RTX that majority of the mainstream users are waiting for. Though, NVIDIA only announced one GeForce RTX 2060 even though the recent leaks shows that there’s a total of 6 models available for the GeForce RTX 2060.

The RTX 2060 comes equipped with 6GB of GDDR6 memory and 240 Tensor Cores that can
deliver 52 teraflops of deep learning horsepower, which can improve gaming performance
through a feature known as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).

According to NVIDIA, the GeForce RTX 2060 is even more powerful than at GTX 1070 Ti and it’s capable of real-time Ray Tracing. But of course, that’s not the only thing the RTX 2060 is capable of, as there’s still more RTX games in the list that has yet to be released.

1440p and 144Hz is the new trend?

According to NVIDIA, the current trend in gaming are shifting towards 1440p and 144Hz. Basically, this means that you’ll have to gear yourself up with more powerful hardware in order to keep up with the trend.

So, what’s the big deal? While some think that they can live with the current GTX 10 series they have, you’ll find out soon enough that newer games with better aesthetics will require RTX. Now, don’t get us wrong here – GTX 10 series cards are still a very powerful and it can still can drive some of the latest AAA titles without much issue.

The screenshots above are taken from the live demo of Justice, a recently launched, new Chinese MMO that embraces GeForce RTX real-time ray tracing. If you were to fully experience the graphics of the game, a GeForce RTX graphics card is required.

Just as what we’ve seen from the previous leaks, the GeForce RTX 2060 will be retailed at $349 and it will be available starting from January 15th, which is next week. Custom boards, including stock-clocked and factory-overclocked models, will also available starting January 15 from top add-in card providers, including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC.
