SEA’s leading gaming platform Matchroom.net has announced the return of the R3KTNATION: Spike Strike competition that spans across the end of 2021 and into 2022.
Open for all Valorant players from Malaysia, The Philippines, and Singapore, each country will have its own set of regional bracket rounds in order to decide who will be representing their nation with pride and make it into the Tri-Nations Cup next year. If you’re not familiar with the tournament name, R3KTNATION is taking a slightly different philosophy in how the competition runs. Instead of using conventional formats that often dictate large skill gaps between fully dedicated professionals and casual players, R3KTNATION lets participants choose their own matchups from the pool of competitors instead of where games are played, scored, and laid bare on a leaderboard.
For fellow Malaysian gamers, the first installment of the series is currently open for registration right now until December 12 with a prize pool of RM4,000 so why not try out a different way of playing competitively? I guess you can’t blame anyone for losing an opponent picked by yourself though.
